This quick and easy recipe is one of my family's favorites. I've taken it to lots of potlucks and have been asked for the recipe many times.
Dough for single-crust pie (9 in.)
Ingredients

- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 325°. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to a 1/8-in.-thick circle; transfer to a 9-in. pie plate. Trim crust to 1/2 in. beyond rim of plate; flute edge. Refrigerate while preparing filling.
- In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar, flour, eggs, and vanilla until well blended. Stir in nuts and chips; pour into crust.
- Bake until golden brown, about 1 hour. Cool on a wire rack. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
