As we move into December, cinnamon and peppermint enjoy their moment in the sun—or, should I say, in the snow.
But there’s one flavor that I can’t get enough of, and, lucky for me, Pepsi is bringing it back in a big way. That’s right, Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream is going to look a little different starting this month.
What is Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream?
Think about the best cherry cola you’ve ever had, and then add a sweet-and-creamy splash to it. Voila, that’s how Pepsi’s Wild Cherry & Cream tastes. The subtle vanilla flavor of the cream combines with the cherry in a really balanced way, and it doesn’t overwhelm the classic cola flavor. It’s the kind of flavor that makes me feel like I’m a kid pulling up to a soda counter in the 1950s, spending my allowance money on a delicious fountain drink.
Pepsi launched this flavor last year, and it was a smash success.
“At Pepsi, we make the best-tasting cola, and cherry cola has been one of our specialties for decades,” said Gustavo Reyna, vice president of marketing at Pepsi. “Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream builds on this legacy, offering a delicious, creamy twist to the sweet cherry-flavored cola that millions already love.”
This flavor was originally available in 12-ounce cans in two varieties: Original Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream and Pepsi Zero Sugar Wild Cherry & Cream. What makes this newsworthy is that, for the first time ever, it will also be available in a 20-ounce bottle. I love a 20-ounce bottle. Sometimes that 12-ounce can just isn’t enough! It’s my second-favorite soda-drinking method (after fountain, of course), and it’s absolutely the best way to enjoy a soda on a road trip.
“The holidays are the perfect moment to debut the flavor’s decadent new packaging and 20 oz. bottle offering,” says Gustavo. “When people want to treat themselves to something rich, irresistibly smooth, and just plain delicious.”
When will Pepsi’s Wild Cherry & Cream 20-ounce bottle be available?
The revamped cans and bottles should hit shelves later this month at retailers nationwide. To celebrate, Pepsi is doing a little social media giveaway, where fans can get a special limited-edition custom Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream kit.
