Blueberries

If using frozen blueberries, use without thawing to avoid discoloring the batter.

Blueberry Upside Down Dessert

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 package yellow cake mix (regular size)
  • Whipped cream

Directions

  1. Coat the bottom of a 13x9-in. baking dish with butter; sprinkle with sugar and blueberries. Prepare cake batter according to package directions; spread over blueberries.
  2. Bake at 350° for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes on a wire rack. Invert onto a serving plate. Serve warm with whipped cream.
